Shredder Waste-Bag Refills: Compare Bag Dimensions and Model Lists, Not Only Litres

A shredder-bin capacity in litres does not describe every dimension a liner needs to fit.

We have not performed hands-on testing of the products discussed. Manufacturer references and official guidance support the documented information below; comparison exercises are our editorial guidance.

A shredder-bin capacity in litres does not describe every dimension a liner needs to fit. Fellowes' Japanese consumable pages supply both bag measurements and model lists for two refill sizes, including room to fold the liner over the bin rim. Use those as examples of the information to obtain, rather than treating a nearby litre number as a universal fit guarantee.

Confirm that the machine permits a liner

Start with the actual shredder model and its bin instructions. This guide does not establish that bags are permitted in every shredder. A consumable sold for a named machine should not be transferred to another bin without its own documentation. The shape and required fitting arrangement matter alongside nominal capacity.

Record the complete manufacturer reference rather than ordering only by small or extra-small. Fellowes Japan gives FE-36052 and FE-36053 as current codes replacing 36052 and 36053. Keep that regional reference with the source page so that a local seller's abbreviated title does not silently become proof of an identical product.

Read dimensions beside the capacity range

The Japanese FE-36052 example is labelled for 21–25.5 litre bins and contains one hundred bags. Its stated dimensions are 630 mm wide by 650 mm high, with 0.0165 mm thickness. These are facts about that regional pack. They do not demonstrate that every bag advertised for roughly twenty-five litres has the same shape or material specification.

The FE-36053 example is labelled for 30–34 litre bins and also contains one hundred bags. Its stated dimensions are 750 mm wide by 720 mm high, with 0.02 mm thickness. Compare the dimensions and exact reference before interpreting the matching pack count as a simple size upgrade. Thickness alone is not a tested load or puncture-resistance rating.

Keep the model lists separate

The XS listing includes LX211, LX201 and LX200. The S listing includes LX221 and LX220. These examples show separate model-fit lists rather than a single liner recommended for every Fellowes machine. Use the exact current local model guidance; a number appearing near another number in a product family does not establish that their bins are interchangeable.

Both pages describe leaving enough material to fold over the bin rim. That explains why a bag can be larger than a simple internal-capacity comparison suggests. Do not calculate a fit by litres alone or improvise a universal bag-size formula from these examples. An unlisted machine requires its own dimensional and instruction check.

Compare local packs after identifying the fit

For an illustrative office order, write machine model, allowed liner arrangement, specified bag reference, dimensions and selected count in one record. A colleague repeating the purchase can then distinguish the intended refill from a similar generic waste bag. That is a purchasing record, not a claim that an alternative bag is unsafe or that this product controls dust.

The evidence here is translated from Japanese manufacturer pages. US and European offers may carry different ranges, dimensions or quantities, so verify the actual local package rather than importing these numbers as universal specifications. No current Amazon offer, lowest delivered price or regional equivalence has been established.

We make no anti-static, fire, dust-control, load-weight or service-life claim for the liners. Finish by comparing the number of documented fitting bags and the real delivered total. If the local offer does not resolve dimensions or model support, obtain those details before buying a large refill quantity based only on a litre label.
